Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning Engineer with expertise in cybersecurity to join our team. This role involves converting file based cybersecurity patterns/rules into machine learning models, enhancing our platform’s ability to detect and respond to threats. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in machine learning, rule-based systems, and cybersecurity.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement machine learning models based.
• Translate existing cybersecurity rules into efficient and effective machine learning algorithms.
• Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to understand the requirements and constraints of current rule-based systems.
• Optimize and fine-tune models for performance and accuracy in detecting security threats.
• Conduct research and stay updated on the latest advancements in machine learning and cybersecurity.
• Debug and resolve complex issues related to model performance and integration.
• Work closely with other teams, including Software Development and Security, to ensure seamless integration and deployment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in machine learning, with a focus on cybersecurity applications.
• Strong understanding of rule-based systems, particularly Wazuh, YARA, and Splunk.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, and experience with machine learning libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with natural language processing (NLP) and converting rule-based logic into ML models.
• Knowledge of security and compliance considerations in machine learning applications.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices.
