Accounting Intern

II. Job Purpose

PECB is interested in hiring an Accounting Intern to deal with different accounting tasks of PECB. The candidate will help perform research, prepare financial reports, and assist with reconciling accounts and other duties, as needed. The candidate will learn and gain first-hand experience in a real accounting department and will have the opportunity to work from Prishtina, Republic of Kosovo, in an international environment for a global organization.

III. Responsibilities

• Assisting with research, filing, data entry, recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records;
• Assisting with the development of overall accounting policies and procedures;
• Assisting with financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements, invoices, and other documents;
• Working with accounting software;
• Assist to process accounts receivable/payable with high accuracy;
• Learning how to work as part of the Accounting team to compile and analyze data, track information, and support the company or clients;
• Handling sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity;
• Taking on additional tasks or projects to learn more about accounting operations.

 

IV. Skills & Requirements

• Graduate or actively working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting field;
• Working knowledge of the QuickBooks or any other accounting software is preferable;
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles;
• Work under high pressure and good stress management;
• Motivation and strong desire to take on new challenges and learn as much as possible;
• Fluency in English language (written and spoken);
• High level of efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility.
