Butler brings incredible, accessible room service to thousands of hotel rooms throughout the United States. 

In Kosovo, the team offers technical support to the company's operations contributing to the overall aim of the company, which is for guests to have a digitalized hospitality experience. The ambitious team consists of Software Developers, QA Engineers, Designers, Customer Service, Operations and Accounting. 

We are looking for an Application Support Specialist that will be part of the overall Engineering team.

What are we looking for?
The Application Support Specialist will be responsible for handling 1st level support inquiries for our internal teams. You will work closely with the Product team to become an expert user for our applications. Additionally, you’ll work with Engineering to understand common issues and resolution procedures. 

As the first level of support, you’ll be expected to answer and document basic usage questions and troubleshooting procedures, and understand when issues need to be escalated and to whom.

 

What are App Support Specialist duties?

  • Be the first responder for general application questions and issues (internal)
  • Understand the various teams, products, managers, etc so when problems arise, you know who to contact
  • Build an escalation process so that we are able to respond to critical issues
  • Create and manage documentation for our various applications so that we are able to provide effective support
  • Implement issue tracking and management so we can report and better understand where and why issues are happening
  • Become an expert user for our applications and processes
  • Interface with Product and Engineering teams so that they better understand the issues and their impact

 

What is needed for this role?

  • In the last year of studies or graduated from Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information System, or similar.
  • General knowledge of front-end and back-end programming languages, preferably JavaScript stack (Node.js + React.js) (good to have)
  • General knowledge of Jenkins (preferably)
  • Good knowledge of GitHub or similar
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar support role (preferably)  & at a technology company will be considered an advantage
  • Ability to understand and map out processes, create and manage documentation
  • Experience with issue tracking software
  • Ability to determine the causes of application errors and repairing them
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills in English (required)
