II. Job Purpose

PECB is interested in hiring a Video Editor to join our team in Prishtina, Kosovo. The candidate will have the opportunity to work from Kosovo in an international environment and be engaged in the design of PECB’s main products: eLearning training courses, training materials, marketing materials, etc. Candidates must have proficient communication and writing skills in the English language along with strong research and analytical skills, and an incredible attentiveness to detail(s). The candidate will be responsible for taking video editing projects from brief through to completion, providing creative thinking, new ideas, and detailed video editing solutions.

III. Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

The Video Editor is responsible for assembling recorded footage into a finished project that matches the eLearning Director’s vision and is suitable for publication. Ultimately, the Video Editor should be able to bring visuals and sound together in order to communicate a creative cohesive story. The Video Editor will be responsible for creating design solutions that have a high visual impact including:

• Manipulate and edit video pieces
• Trim video segments and assemble the sequence of the videos
• Reorder and fine-tune the video content to ensure logical sequencing and smooth running of the videos
• Evaluate and review edited video footage to ensure that it matches the story from different scripts
• Evaluate and review edited video footage to ensure that it matches the narrative of the eLearning Director
• Combine video footage with different audio sound effects and soundtracks to create a dramatic effect
• Develop design briefs by gathering information and data through research
• Think creatively to produce new ideas and concepts
• Use innovation to redefine a design brief within the constraints of cost and time
• Present finalized ideas and concepts to the supervisor
• Contribute with ideas and design artwork to the overall brief
• Keep abreast of emerging technologies in new media, particularly design programs such as Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro,
• Organize and manage multiple projects in various stages of progress
• Present and pitch ideas, briefs, and concepts to various parties
• Develop an understanding of the target audience and the market
• Work cohesively within a multi-departmental team that is responsible for the research, development, and launch of new products
• Translate marketing objectives into creative strategies
• Contribute to the implementation of new initiatives
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the management

 

IV. Preferred Qualifications 

• A degree in Graphic Design or related field; or a combination of equivalent experience and/or education
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
• 2+ years of professional experience in video editing and graphic design
• Knowledge of Adobe products ( Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro) is mandatory
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is mandatory

• Ability to work effectively with people at various levels throughout the organization
• Must work well under pressure, grasp new ideas quickly, think outside the box, and be able to follow-up in a dynamic environment
• Must have strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task in a high pace, dynamic environment
• Possesses good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present work from concept to final execution
• Willing to learn and grow as well as to challenge and contribute to ideas
• Strong multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced work environment
• Work well independently with minimum supervision
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Adaptability to a changing and fast-paced work environment
• Be open to receiving feedback and constructive criticism, and make improvement on the tasks as requested
• Have working knowledge or prior experience in designing animation and motion graphics is an advantage
