Ruby on Rails Developer

We are looking for several Ruby on Rails Backend Developers to enhance our backend development squad. This role revolves around developing robust server-side logic, maintaining our core database, and ensuring swift responses to front-end requests. You will be key in building and maintaining new features in our web app, working with the product team and design team to scope new features and make infrastructure decisions on how the app will be hosted. Experience with AWS for basic DevOps tasks will also be part of your responsibilities, aiding in the deployment and operation of our applications on the cloud.

Ruby on Rails Backend Developer Responsibilities:

• Work alongside development and product management teams to craft and refine functional requirements.
• Develop and maintain server-side application logic using Ruby on Rails.
• Integrate user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic.
• Ensure optimal performance and responsiveness of applications.
• Contribute to the creation of a secure, scalable, and maintainable system architecture.
• Basic management of AWS cloud resources to support application deployment and operation.
• Utilize DevOps tools (like Git, Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence) for efficient workflow.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years experience in Ruby on Rails or similar programming language
• Basic knowledge of front-end technologies for seamless integration with front-end components.
• Experience with AWS cloud services for basic application deployment and operations.
• Proficiency in software design principles and agile methodologies.
• Capable of guiding less experienced team members.
• Fluent in English with strong communication skills.
• Experience in writing clear technical documentation.
• Able to work US timezone schedule
