TITAN SHARRCEM is currently looking for a proficient and driven Accountant to join our Finance Team.
As an Accountant, he/she will be pivotal in managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate should possess a solid foundation in accounting principles, with demonstrated expertise in financial analysis and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
- Update accounts receivable/accounts payable and perform reconciliations.
- Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines.
- Assist with reviewing expenses, etc., as assigned.
- Update financial data in databases to ensure that information is accurate and immediately available when needed.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax returns and other reports to the tax authorities.
- Prepare necessary paperwork for tax payments and returns.
- Identify tax savings and suggest ways to increase profits.
- Follow industry trends and track changes related to taxes.
- Assist senior accountants in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings.
- Assist with other accounting projects.
Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Chartered Accountancy would be a plus.
- 3-5 years of experience within an accounting department.
- Sound knowledge of tax legislation and requirements.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- SAP knowledge preferred, or working knowledge of similar ERP systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Willingness to go the extra mile.
- Good knowledge of the English language
