Job Summary:

As a Cloud Lab Technician, you will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating technical labs within our cloud infrastructure. You will be responsible for the setup, maintenance, and support of various lab environments hosted in the cloud, ensuring they are optimized for efficient usage by our technical teams. Basic knowledge of Linux systems will be required to perform troubleshooting and basic administration tasks within the lab environment.

Responsibilities:

• Setup and configure cloud-based lab environments for various technical projects and testing purposes.
• Monitor and maintain the performance, security, and availability of lab infrastructure hosted in the cloud.
• Collaborate with technical teams to understand their requirements and provide support in configuring lab environments accordingly.
• Troubleshoot issues related to lab setups, network connectivity, and system configurations, with a focus on resolving Linux-related problems.
• Assist in the automation of lab deployment and management processes to improve efficiency and scalability.
• Implement and enforce lab usage policies and best practices to ensure proper resource allocation and utilization.
• Document lab setups, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures for knowledge sharing and future reference.
• Stay updated with the latest cloud technologies and best practices, and make recommendations for improvements to the lab environment.
• Provide support to technical teams on utilizing lab resources effectively.
   

Preferred qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Basic understanding of Linux operating systems and command-line interface.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or any Cloud Platform.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Docker.
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Certifications in cloud computing (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner) and Linux (e.g., LPIC-1) are a plus.
