At Appbites we are seeking for a DevOps Engineer to work for our international clients. You’ll need to
have excellent analytical skills, with an appetite to learn and a commitment to making a difference.
You’ll join an agile development team using tools including GitHub, Jira, and Slack to communicate
effectively, and in an environment that encourages collaborative working.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Building and setting up new infrastructure and development tools
- Maintain Continuous integration and deployment of releases
- Working on ways to automate and improve deployment and release processes
- Ensuring system security
- Troubleshooting technical issues in test, and production environments
- Write scripts for automation of processes
- Working/supporting a cross-functional agile development team
Essential Requirements
- Experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role in software engineering
- Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud Computing services (knowledge of AWS is a plus)
- Experience with CI/CD tools
- Experience with building and operating scalable Kubernetes clusters
- Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies, and Linux OS
- Proficiency in Docker / K8S / Containerization
- Working knowledge of databases and both NoSQL and SQL
- Experience recommending and monitoring corrective and preventive actions
- Experience of working in an agile team focused on continuous delivery
- Understanding of Git version-control
Desirable Requirements
- Experience with JavaScript
