About the Role
The IT Technician would have the contract for specific jobs and tasks and work on a part-time basis in our office in Prishtina. The IT technician would provide general desktop and printer support and network support for the company.
This position reports directly to the Managing Director and will work closely with HR and Admin Officer.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Daily maintenance of firewall protection, troubleshooting network problems and implementing IT solutions
- Ensure adequate antivirus protection & solutions are maintained and updated
- Network Administration (routers, switches, firewalls)
- Configure and administer network devices such as Cisco Meraki Firewalls, Layer 7Switches, Wireless Access Points
- Install and manage inventory systems to keep track of IT Devices
- Managing Time attendance system and door access platforms
- Be responsible and make sure the camera security system is up and running all the time
- Troubleshooting hardware and software issues
- Install control-system on all the company computers in Kosovo (Windows and Mac)
- Managing proprietary software licenses (annual plan)
- Inventory cataloguing and maintenance
- Be responsible for contacting internet providers in cases of internet outage
- Providing support to users and being the first point of contact for error reporting
- Provide IT Helpdesk support to personnel in Kosovo
- Oversee electrical maintenance network
- Prepare and manage technical documentation for all IT systems on all actions taken
- Be responsible for regular checkups of file alarm system and oversee the contracting company if needed
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field (preferred, not required)
- 2+ years of experience in computer networks and systems maintenance at a high-growth start-up or similarly fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-starter, an individual who can work independently.
- Great interpersonal and follow-up skills.
- Proficient in database programming and software installation.
- Attention to detail.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others in a team environment
