International Advisory, Products and Systems (i-APS) is a woman-owned and managed consulting firm that leverages global expertise with local presence to transform organizations and communities into partners for change. We turn data into actionable knowledge and strengthen the capacity of organizations and communities through innovative solutions that enhance program impact and accountability. i-APS has recently begun research, development and implementation of innovative, practical and much needed software solutions. The applications have been designed in response to challenges and needs the teams have faced when conducting research, TPM, evaluation, capacity assessment and development work in over 21 countries around the world.

Tasks and responsibilities
- Build new applications and enhancements to existing applications, along with related infrastructure
- When necessary, act as product Team Leader and supervise the development of software applications from design, to deployment, evaluation, and maintenance.
- Provide ongoing maintenance, tracking support and enhancements in existing systems and platforms.
- Write clean python code
- Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle
- Develop and deploy new features to facilitate related procedures and tools if necessary
- Defining back end architecture for websites and software applications.
- Building reusable code and libraries for future use
- Optimization of the application for maximum speed and scalability
- Conduct software debugging processes including the technical analysis and testing of the developed product according to the i-APS’s requirements, and recommend solutions to identified technical issues.
- Implementation of security and data protection
- Design and implementation of data storage solutions
- Possess good communication skills and willingness to work in a team
- Provide technical expertise in facilitating the recruitment procedures for new local programmers/developers.
- Identify and suggest necessary training on coding skills (including specific programming languages) for staff members engaged in developing software applications
Skills to be demonstrated:
- Proven experience in software development and maintenance
- Demonstrated experience with N-Tiered applications, MVC design patterns, etc.
- Understanding of accessibility and security compliance practices
- Proficient knowledge of back-end programming languages and frameworks, such as: Python, Django, Flask, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, RESTful API, etc.
- User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Github
- It is preferable for candidates to have a basic understanding of front-end technologies and platforms, such as JavaScript, Bootstrap, HTML5, and CSS3.

Educational Qualification:
All interested candidates must at least have a bachelor’s degree in the field of Computer Science or any other relevant area to accomplish the tasks.
Professional Experience:
A minimum of 2-4 years work experience as a Python Developer.
