Job title: Moodle Administrator
Job description:
Experience with and ability to work with the Moodle application, databases and Moodle Data Base Administrators;
Participate in the initiation and completion of projects involving the Moodle environment;
Ability to assist with Moodle application upgrades, updates, hot-fixes and implementation of code;
Ability to monitor the Moodle application for performance, anticipate needs and respond to incidents;
Identifying and recruiting desirable technology integration partners that meet Moodle’s product and organisational goals;
Experience with PHP;
Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills with a service-oriented attitude are paramount;
Liaise with academic and administrative colleagues to identify and release the latest course material to learners, and to assist in the management of assignments;
Good proficiency in spoken and written English;
Work collaboratively with staff to build and maintain support materials in Moodle, such as orientations, resources pages, etc.
Other duties as assigned;
What we require:
Bachelor’s degree preferred;
Proficient knowledge of English Language with strong academic writing skills;
Excellent research skills;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Accuracy and an eye for details;
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously;
Flexible and keen to learn new things;
Organized, with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments;
Possess good interpersonal skills and professional demeanor;
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills;
Must practice good judgment, discretion, and confidentiality;
Personal profile:
Experience of using Moodle and Moodle tracker;
Excellent analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal;
The ability to prioritize and balance long-term and short-term demands;
The ability to work independently or as part of a team;
Enthusiasm for digital learning and the goals of the Moodle User Association.
