Rubik is a Real Estate technology company based in New York City. Our team has developed an investment platform for large Real Estate institutional funds in the United States. At Rubik, we are on a mission to redefine the outdated real estate investment industry through using cutting-edge technologies.

We are now expanding our product development team in Prishtina to accelerate growth as well as bring in new perspectives and skills in our company.

The Role:

During the three-month internship, you will be working with our Backend Engineering Team to assist with the development and expansion of our cloud-native data pipeline which forms the backbone of our technology, along with various database APIs which are the building blocks for our customer-facing products. You will also assist with improvements to our automated email and SMS marketing systems.

You will be responsible for developing various web crawling, data extraction and data transformation programs to feed into our data pipeline and will assist our Backend Engineers with expanding and improving our data pipeline. You will also work with existing testing infrastructure, monitoring and logging systems to report on system integrity and assist with debugging system errors. 

What you will do:

- Develop programs for Web Crawling, Data Extraction and API Integration and work with the Backend Engineering Team to deploy them into production.

- Write ETL scripts for transforming and processing inbound data.

- Write unit testing scripts in line with established practices and work with our Engineering Team to deploy them to our CI/CD pipeline.  

- Work with monitoring and logging systems to track overall data pipeline performance.  

- Assist the Backend Engineering Team with development and debugging as necessary.


We are looking for candidates with:

- Proficiency in English.

- A Bachelor’s Degree or continuing studies in a relevant field.

- Experience in Python and SQL.

- Previous experience with web crawling, ETL, API integration and data science is a bonus.

- A quantitative and analytical approach to problem solving.

- A high attention to detail

- The ability to collaborate with other team members.

- The ability to work independently.

- The ability to learn and adapt fast.
