Job Summary: 

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to manage the procurement process within our organization. The role involves following and managing tender processes, negotiating contracts with suppliers, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.

The successful candidate will work closely with other departments to align procurement activities with organizational goals. Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills are essential. A bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field and several years of procurement experience are required.

Location: Prishtina, Kosovo 

Type: Regular Full-Time 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the procurement process, including developing procurement strategies, managing tender processes, and negotiating contracts with suppliers
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures related to procurement activities
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues that arise
  • Work closely with other departments to align procurement activities with organizational goals
  • Track orders and maintain records related to procurement activities.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their products or services
  • Collaborate with suppliers to improve pricing, delivery times, and quality of goods or services
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure a reliable and consistent supply chain
  • Evaluate supplier proposals and make recommendations for supplier selection based on price, quality, and delivery times
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure that materials or products are ordered in a timely manner to meet production or project schedules
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives and strategies to optimize procurement processes
  • Provide regular reports on procurement activities, including cost savings, supplier performance, and compliance metrics
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in procurement, and identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies

 

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in procurement, preferably in a public sector or international organization setting.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes and procedures, particularly in support of field operations or similar organizations.
  • Ability to follow procedures, meet deadlines, and work independently with attention to detail.
  • Excellent negotiation and representation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and persuade suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to gather and synthesize information from multiple sources.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Fluent in English, with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Creative problem-solving ability, with the ability to identify and address issues and risks.
  • Good project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Sound judgement and decision-making skills, with the ability to make informed and effective decisions.
