Job Purpose 

Your mission as a CTO will be to lead the teams of Software Development, IT, Information Security, and Software Business Analysts to ensure that are we are embracing technology as a factor that improves business operations and keeps us secure. It’s important for these departments to work with latest technologies and ensure project success completion, as well as ensure that they are integrated within each-other and the rest of the team. 

The chosen applicant should be reliable, confident and flexible to increase efficiency and quality of software development team. The right applicant should be energetic, detail-oriented, and self-initiator. Further, the applicant should have previous work experience with teams

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee and run the departmentswhile ensuring all functions and procedures of the departments are running smoothly and efficiently;
• Analyze the company’s technology and make recommendations to improve usability, integration, and overall functionality;
• Ensure corporate and other branches implement information security requirements and we comply with respective security and data protection laws;
• Develop and maintain a continuous improvement culture, focusing on efficient ways of working for both current and new processes;
• Provide effective management and leadership, and conduct performance and development reviews of staff managed, to ensure motivated performance, high-quality service delivery, and achievement of the business plan;
• Ensure adequate controls are installed and that processes are followed when working on various software and applications;
• Introduce and maintain the best practices in development that maximize the efficiency; 
• Guide the software development and software business analyst teams in implementing best practices in test-driven development;
• Oversee high-level decisions throughout the design process while reporting to the PECB top management;
• Develop and direct all networking safeguards to reduce the risk of outside breaches and protect sensitive internal and external client information;
• Supervise system infrastructure to ensure functionality and efficiency;
• Supervise feedback system to ensure all applications and technologies are being improved effectively.

 

Education & Language Skills Requirements:

• University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fileds;
• Master degree is preferred but not mandatory; 
• Full proficiency in English (written & verbal)
• Certificates in computer science, security, software development, or IT are preferred.

Professional Expertise and Key Skills:

• At least 5 years of experience in IT or software development, part of which as a CTO or similar leadership role;
• Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes;
• High level of integrity to deal with confidential information;
• Have a strategic mindset and desire to dive deep and solve business challenges within your immediate scope and beyond it;
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills;
• A technical mindset with great attention to detail and advanced IT knowledge;
• An ability to liaise well with others and source information efficiently;
• Outstanding communication skills with people of all levels throughout the organization;
• An ability to research and predict the ways that different technologies can impact an organization’s development;
• Work under high pressure and good stress management;
• Strong leadership skills with problem-solving aptitude.
